Events

Each year the Concord Amateur Radio Society provides support for the Tour de Pike bicycle event. This year we provided communications for the Kiwanis bicycle event.

Chris KI4JPG, West KI4MYD, and Michael K9LUV manned the station.

We KI4JPG -Chris, KI4MYD-West, K9LUV-Michael set up in Molena for bike ride communication. Notice the beam we used (ELK ANTENNA 2/440 Log periodic) and portable push-up pole (22ft) Radios were Icom V-8000 and Radio shack scanner to listen to public service when no traffic for the bike ride was passed. HT was Yaesu VX-7 for 443.400 back up to work with my Kenwood TS-2000 cross band repeat. Power was AC-DELCO MARINE heavy duty battery and 12 volt power pack for scanner. Pictures by West KI4MYD.
